Skyline construction May 24

SKYLINE DRIVE – Town East Boulevard to Peachtree Road
What: Four lane divided concrete thoroughfare reconstruction project which will move westbound lanes to the south creating a buffer area that includes a trail, screening wall, and landscaping.

When: Trail and rest areas nearly complete. Landscaping and irrigation are underway. Construction scheduled to be complete with ribbon cutting in June.


 F.P. Lucas construction May 24

F. P. LUCAS BOULEVARD – McKenzie Road to E. Cartwright Road
What: Existing two-lane asphalt road will be replaced with a four-lane divided concrete thoroughfare. The project includes trails and a new bridge section. Two-way traffic will be maintained on existing or new pavement during construction.
When: City utilities and storm sewer construction are currently underway on Phase 1. Bridge piers are being drilled.


 Kearney and Peachtree construction May 24

KEARNEY STREET (Belt Line Road to SH 352) and PEACHTREE ROAD (Skyline Drive to Gross Road)
What: Concrete pavement reconstruction of identified areas including isolated curb, median, and sidewalk repairs.
When: Project is substantially complete unless additional areas are identified for repair.



South Parkway construction May 24 

SOUTH PARKWAY – U.S. 80 to Peachtree Road (Real. Texas. Roads. project*)
What: Utility and paving reconstruction of a two-lane residential collector street to include areas of on-street parking. Sections of the road will be closed during different phases of construction. Residents will have alley access to their homes.
When: City utilities are underway. South Parkway is now closed to thru traffic except for City services and deliveries.


 Lee and Grubb construction May 24

LEE STREET / GRUBB DRIVE (Real. Texas. Roads. project*)

What: Residential street improvements including concrete pavement replacement in certain areas, an asphalt overlay, and sidewalk repairs. Some grades (the measure of a road’s steepness) on Lee will be adjusted to improve drainage along curbs and gutters.

When: Construction on Grubb is substantially complete. Construction is currently active on Lee. Project will be complete by May.


 Big Town construction May 24

BIG TOWN BOULEVARD (Samuell Boulevard to the City limits)
What: Concrete pavement reconstruction of identified areas including isolated curb and median repairs. Project includes comprehensive asphalt milling and overlay (removal of the existing asphalt pavement to correct, restore, and smooth the surface for resurfacing).
When: Concrete replacement is underway. Expect lane closures in both directions. Project will be complete in May.


 Motley construction May 24

MOTLEY DRIVE (Oates Dr. to IH 30)
What: Street Maintenance project in conjunction with Dallas County Road & Bridge Program to include complete asphalt milling and overlay along with pavement reconstruction of identified areas.
When: Concrete replacement is underway. Expect lane closures in both directions. Project will be complete in May.
