 Mesquite Animal Services (MAS) COVID-19 Operations 

Starting Tuesday, March 24, in conjunction with the Dallas County “Stay in Place” Order, MAS will continue to operate with the following modifications:

ØMesquite Animal Shelter is closed to the public.
ØAnimal Services Officers will respond to only emergency or priority calls which include bite incidents, sick or injured and threats to public safety.
ØOwner Surrendering of pets has been suspended unless its an emergency.
ØAnimal Trapping and permitting as been suspended.
ØOwners looking for lost pets may make an appointment to come into the shelter to look and reclaim.
ØRescue groups may make an appointment to come in to pull animals in the shelter.
ØPotential adopters may make an appointment to come meet and process adoptions, or request a virtual meeting of an animals in the shelter.

Microchipping now available!



Microchips are being offered on a walk-in basis during public Shelter hours.  The cost is $10 and includes the chip and initial registration.  Microchips are an easy way for your pet to be identified and returned home.
