The Mesquite City Council has approved and adopted revisions to the Chapter 4 – Animal Ordinance that amends the City Code enforced by the Mesquite Animal Services Division. The revisions include updates to State law provisions, addresses outdated language and enhances definitions of a dangerous and aggressive animal as well as the new requirements for animal care and treatment. Microchips are being offered on a walk-in basis during public Shelter hours. The cost is $10 and includes the chip and initial registration. Microchips are an easy way for your pet to be identified and returned home.
