Solid Waste and Recycling

ATTENTION RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS: The City of Mesquite will be suspending residential recycling collection and will adjust response times to bulk trash service. The temporary suspension of the curbside recycling program will allow the city to maximize its staffing that has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and will provide the city the opportunity to maintain efficient service of its residential collection routes. Until further notice, recyclable materials placed for collection will be picked up and disposed of as normal solid waste. There has been a significant increase in the quantity of bulk trash being placed out for pickup. Due to this increase, the schedule to collect bulk trash may be slightly delayed. The city appreciates our resident’s patience and cooperation in these unprecedented times.

Residents may drop off recyclables at the City’s Convenience Center located at 3550 Lawson Road.

The Solid Waste Division is responsible for the collection and disposal of household garbage, yard waste, recycling, appliances and other discarded items. For more information on the programs and other services we offer, please click on the links below.
