Holiday Closures and Service Impacts

Below is the current holiday schedule for City of Mesquite employees. Closures may impact City services. For more information, call the City of Mesquite Municipal Center at 972-288-7711.

2023 Holiday Schedule

Christmas Eve (Observed) - Friday, December 22, 2023
All City offices and facilities closed with exception of the Mesquite Metro Airport, Recreation Centers, Solid Waste, the Compost Facility and Convenience Center. 
Trash will be collected, but recycling will not be collected. Collection will resume on residents' next scheduled collection day.
Both libraries closed.
Mesquite Animal Shelter closed.
Mesquite Arts Center closed.
Keep Mesquite Beautiful offices closed.
Florence Ranch Homestead and Opal Lawrence Historical Park closed.

Evans Recreation Center will be open from 2-6 p.m. All other Recreation Centers closed.
