Valerie Bradley began her career in the City of Southlake, Texas as the Teen Court Coordinator and was promoted to the Assistant to the Public Works Director.
In 2004, she joined the City of Mesquite and has served in various roles, including Assistant to the City Manager and as the Director of Housing and Community Services. In 2015, Valerie was promoted to the position of Managing Director of Community Services.
Ms. Bradley earned her undergraduate degree in zoology and Masters of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University. Valerie is a member of the International City Management Association (ICMA), and a graduate of the inaugural class of Leadership ICMA. She is also a member of the Texas City Management Association (TCMA) and is currently serving as the group’s Ethics Co-Chair.
Valerie helps to promote community partnerships and inclusivity throughout the City of Mesquite. She serves as the LGBTQ liaison to the City Manager’s Office for those that are needing information, referral services, coordination and/or general assistance. She also serves as public transportation liaison for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and STAR Transit to discuss and analyze City of Mesquite’s public transportation needs.
