History of Mesquite Adult 50+ Program
The City of Mesquite has a long history of serving the senior adult population in the community and surrounding areas. Originally housed in a church building the operation has expanded to three facilities located throughout Mesquite that offer services and activities specifically for adults 50+. The congregate meal program has been offered at Evans Senior Center since 1978 and Goodbar Senior Center since 1987. The third facility Rutherford Senior Center does not offer the meal program.
