The City of Mesquite Parks & Recreation Department would like to thank everyone who joined us for Christmas in the Park on December 2nd and 3rd. This festive event truly lit up the city and brought families together to enjoy the magic of the holiday season.
Westlake Park was transformed into a winter wonderland with twinkling lights, holiday music, and festive decorations. Guests strolled through the park, sipping hot cocoa and enjoying the sights and sounds of the season. Families had the opportunity to enjoy various activities, including:
Pictures with Santa
Yule Log for roasting marshmallows and s'mores
Games, bounce houses, and other kids activities
Special mailbox at the North Pole to write and drop off a letter to Santa
A community stage with music and dance performances
Ugly Sweater Contest - Sponsored by Celebration Station
Ugly Sweater Contest for Dogs - Sponsored by PetSmart
What-A-Christmas Tree Contest - Sponsored by Whataburger
Fair food favorites from concessionaires and food trucks
"Here Comes Christmas" lighted float parade with fireworks finale
We'd like to thank our sponsors, Celebration Station, PetSmart, and Whataburger for their generous support, as well as all of the concessionaires and food trucks that provided delicious fair food favorites. It was heartwarming to see so many families and friends come together to spread holiday cheer.
We hope that Christmas in the Park was a joyful and memorable experience for everyone who attended.
Thank you for making it a special event, we look forward to seeing you again next year!
