Mesquite residents may also watch our government channel if they subscribe to these cable services:
Spectrum: Digital Channel 16*
AT&T U-verse: Channel 99
*While channel 16 is the City of Mesquite's designated government access channel on Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable), Spectrum does not broadcast content in both analog and digital signals. Effective October 2010 channel 16 content resumed broadcasting in digital format only. In June 2011, Time Warner Cable (TWC) migrated the remaining government access channels across North Texas (channels 95, 96, 97, 98 & 99) to broadcast digital only and no longer in an analog format. If a Mesquite resident is a Spectrum customer with an old analog TV and not a newer version of a flat panel TV, they will need to have a digital box to be able to view channel 16. The new flat panel TV's have what is known as a QAM tuner and depending on the format, the QAM tuner will display the video content on channel 16 as channel 15.1 or 15.2 on the TV. For a digital box, please call Spectrum Customer Service Center for the North Texas and Dallas Area at 972-742-5892.
