Families are invited to celebrate the arrival of spring at the City of Mesquite’s Bunny EGGstravaganza.

The annual Bunny Eggstravaganza will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Evans Recreation Center, 1116 Hillcrest St. The free community event sponsored by Zipline International will feature a variety of festive activities and entertainment.

Children up to age 9 can participate in one of two egg hunts for colorful, candy-filled eggs at 10 a.m. or noon. Groups will be divided into age ranges infants to 2, 3-5 and 6-9 years old, with parent participation permitted for children ages 2 years old and younger.

Other Bunny EGGstravaganza activities will include free pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting and arts and crafts. Additional attractions include the Choo Choo Express Train, bounce houses, Skee-Ball and outdoor games for the whole family. 

Whataburger of Mesquite will provide free breakfast taquitos, and Starbucks will offer complimentary hot coffee while supplies last.
