The City of Mesquite has designed a week’s worth of events to celebrate the first responders in Mesquite through Public Safety Appreciation Week, Sept. 30 through Oct. 7.
Tuesday, Oct. 1:
- Coffee with a Cop: 8-10 a.m. at Bear Cave Coffee, 214 W. Davis St.
- National Night Out: Police, Fire, and City staff will visit National Night Out events. Visit www.cityofmesquite.com/NationalNightOut for a listing of locations and more information.
Wednesday, Oct. 2:
- Burgers with a Badge: 11 a.m. at Braums, 3506 N. Galloway Avenue. Enjoy a meal and interact with Police, Fire and Dispatch personnel.
Thursday, Oct. 3:
- Ladders and Lattes: 8 a.m. at Bear Cave Coffee, 214 W. Davis St. Meet and greet with Firefighters.
Friday, Oct. 4:
- Coffee, Call Takers and Conversations: 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Starbucks, 125 US-80. Visit with Dispatch staff members.
Monday, Oct. 7:
- Public Safety Appreciation Week Closing: 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Avenue. First responders will lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the City Council Meeting.
