Mesquite, TX – December 17, 2021 – Mesquite fifth grader Ryleigh Adam is bringing joy to dozens of children this holiday season. In kindergarten, Ryleigh decided she wanted to give gifts instead of getting them and made her first donation to the Mesquite Police Department’s (MPD) Santa Cop Program. The tradition of giving has continued every year since, and in fourth grade she created Ryleigh’s Bike Drive for Santa Cop, raising money to purchase bicycles for the program. This year in fifth grade, Ryleigh raised over $1,300 to purchase 20 bikes and a scooter. Watch the video about Ryleigh’s donation journey.

The mission and purpose of the Santa Cop Toy Program is to provide assistance during the Christmas season to disadvantaged children and families in Mesquite and the surrounding communities served by the Mesquite Independent School District (MISD).
