The holiday season will ceremoniously begin in Mesquite with the annual Christmas on the Square event in Historic Downtown Mesquite on Tuesday, December 2 from 5 – 7 p.m. The tree will be lit at 5:30 p.m. Holiday choirs will perform while Santa Claus will be available for pictures. There will also be complimentary cookies, hot cocoa and craft activities. The tree lighting is sponsored by the City of Mesquite and Community Heart of Mesquite.
