Mesquite, TX - October 7, 2019 - Mesquite is recognized as a Heart Safe Community by the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council. The program recognizes a community’s efforts to protect its citizens from the effects of heart disease and sudden cardiac death by evaluating different aspects of the system as a whole. Multiple entities in Mesquite contributed to accomplish this designation including Dallas Regional Medical Center, Mesquite Independent School District, and Mesquite Police and Fire departments.
