To support community safety and allow crews to focus on essential services, some City facilities and services will be closed due to potential severe weather.

Friday, Jan. 23 – Facility & Program Closures

• Historic Mesquite – Opal Lawrence Park and Florence Ranch Park are closed.
• Recreation Centers –  All youth basketball practices and games are canceled.
• Mesquite Golf Club – Closed.

Saturday, Jan. 24 – Facility & Service Closures

• Historic Mesquite – Opal Lawrence Park and Florence Ranch Park are closed.
• Recreation Centers – All Recreation Centers are closed, except Evans Recreation Center, open 9 a.m.–6 p.m. as a warming center.
  The gym and fitness center at Evans will also be open.
• All scheduled activities and reservations at Rutherford, Florence, Dunford, and Goodbar Recreation Centers are canceled.
• All youth basketball practices and games are canceled.
• Mesquite Arts Center – Closed.
• Trash & Convenience Center – Commercial trash service and the Convenience Center are closed.
• Mesquite Natatorium – Closed.
• Westlake Sports Center – Closed.
• Mesquite Golf Club – Closed.
• Animal Shelter – Closed. For animal-related emergencies, call 972-216-6283.
• Heritage Plaza – Closed.
• Libraries – Main Library and North Branch Library are closed.
• The Booked on Learning Health Fair scheduled for Saturday, January 24 is rescheduled to Saturday, January 31, 3 p.m., at the Main Library.

Sunday, Jan. 25 – Facility & Program Closures
