Firefighters will soon pound the pavement for a good cause. The Mesquite Firefighters Association L-1518 kicks off their Fill the Boot Campaign this month.
Every year, Mesquite Firefighters hit the streets to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Donations help fund research, patient care and family support for patients with ALS (Lou Gherig’s Disease), Muscular Dystrophy, and more. The organization is responsible for advances in medicine and technology that helps people live longer and enhance their quality of life.
Here is a list of dates and intersections where you can find the Fill the Boot campaigners, out on Thursdays and Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m.:
