Mesquite, TX – November 26, 2018 – The Mesquite Fire Department is accepting online applications for firefighters through Jan. 18, 2019. The next entrance exam takes place Feb. 16. Starting salary is $61,908.84 per year.
Applicants must be between ages 21 and 35 and must be a citizen of the United States. Candidates also must have successfully completed a minimum of either:
- Sixty (60) semester hours of college credit in general subjects*; or
- Thirty (30) semester hours of college credit* plus two years of active military service.
*Credit hours received from an accredited college or university with grade of “C” or higher
