Mesquite, TX – October 27, 2021 – The City of Mesquite in partnership with American Legion Post 504 and VFW Post 8785 will host a Veterans Day Celebration on Sunday, Nov. 7 at Mesquite Veterans Memorial, 425 S. Galloway Ave., beginning at 11 a.m.

American Legion Post 504 Commander Jay Miller said, “We are excited to be a part of this community event to recognize all military veterans for their service to our country.” Miller explained that the program will include remarks from military leaders, music, and special activities.

Lennie Page, the Commander of VFW Post 8785, said, “Hosting this celebration at the new Mesquite Veterans Memorial will be great. The community helped build the memorial, and we could think of no better location in Mesquite to thank our military veterans of past, present and future.”

The City will distribute commemorative Mesquite Veterans Memorial lapel pins while supplies last.
