Mesquite, TX – April 10, 2017 – The City of Mesquite has announced a new public education campaign called Drive Like Your Family Lives Here to address traffic safety issues in its community. For details on the campaign, visit www.DriveLikeYourFamilyLivesHere.org.
Mesquite City Manager Cliff Keheley said, “Improving traffic safety is about changing behaviors. Our citizens have raised their concerns about speeding in our neighborhoods, the safety of students who walk to our schools and other traffic safety issues. The importance of traffic safety greatly affects the entire community. This public education campaign will be our ongoing effort to make Mesquite safer for families and kids.”
The Drive Like Your Family Lives Here campaign will be directed towards citizens, visitors and the business community. The City will use a variety of bilingual communications that will include outdoor signage, social media, videos and other methods to remind the community about the importance of traffic safety. There will also be special events and activities planned throughout the year to engage the public’s help with the campaign.
