Mesquite, TX – June 23, 2021 – The City of Mesquite is offering its residents an opportunity to provide their input on the city’s budget using an online survey at www.cityofmesquite.com/Budget through July 7. A portion of the data collected will be presented at a Budget Town Hall meeting on July 13 and used by the City Council at their July 17 Budget Workshop.
Prior to taking the survey, residents are encouraged to watch a brief educational video on the webpage that outlines the city’s budget process, revenues, and expenditures. This survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete and will ask questions on a list of programs and services provided by the city.
For those without access to a computer or smart device to participate in the online survey, the Mesquite Library System has public computers available. The Main Library is located at 300 W. Grubb Drive and is open 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The North Branch Library located at 2600 Oates Drive is open Monday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., and on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday 12 - 6 p.m. as well as Wednesday 12 - 8 p.m.
The Budget Town Hall program is scheduled for July 13, 7 p.m. at Mesquite City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Avenue.
