Mesquite, TX – April 28, 2021 – More than 300 volunteers collected over 180 bags, containing nearly 4,000 pounds of litter from 19 locations around Mesquite, including parks, neighborhoods and retail shopping areas as a part of Keep Mesquite Beautiful, Inc. (KMB) cleanup event, Trash Bash, on April 24.
Selket Daese, Volunteer and Keep Mesquite Beautiful Program Administrator, said, “We are so grateful for the help of our volunteer groups, youth groups and businesses. This was a successful cleanup event due in large part to the participation of community to rally towards the goal of keeping Mesquite looking good.”

The initiative combines the efforts of several City departments and programs into a unified strategy to improve the appearance of our community.
