Mesquite, TX – April 7, 2021 – The City of Mesquite’s Economic Development Department will host the free virtual “Local Market Data & Trends” event for the business community at 12 p.m. on April 13. The event will be presented by Research Manager Micah Rabalais from Avison Young, a Dallas-based commercial real estate advising firm, and will highlight data from quarter one of 2021 and focus on the markets of Mesquite, Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Lexie Woodward, Manager of Economic Development, said, “This free event is another event offered through our Mesquite Business Retention and Expansion Task Force. This program is a part of our ongoing efforts to deliver platforms and programs for all areas of industry in Mesquite. This webinar will provide valuable information for local business owners and managers, investors, commercial real estate brokers and anyone interested in the Mesquite-area business climate.” Woodward shared that the Business Retention and Expansion Task Force, formed in 2016, consists of the city’s Economic Development Department, Mesquite Independent School District, Eastfield Campus of Dallas College, Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas and the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce.
As Research Manager for Avison Young’s Dallas office, Rabalais leads research and market insight for the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. His responsibilities include gathering and interpreting data used in quantitative and qualitative analysis, providing in-depth and high-level understanding of market trends, writing topical reports, creating and designing informative presentations, and fulfilling on-demands for broker and client needs. He is a member of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications, TEXO Construction Association, Dallas Producers Association and a NCAA National Leadership Forum Member. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
