Mesquite, TX – April 1, 2021 – Councilmember Kenny Green, District 2 and Councilmember B.W. Smith, District 5 will have Council District meetings next weekend. On Friday, April 9 at 6 p.m., District 2 will have a meeting at Florence Recreation Center, 2501 Whitson Way. The meeting for District 5 will be on Saturday, April 10 at 10 a.m. at Rutherford Recreation Center, 900 Rutherford Drive.

The meetings provide residents an opportunity to express their concerns to their councilmembers and discuss topics with their neighbors. The in-person meetings were discontinued in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The public attending the meeting will have the option of wearing a face covering, but the city will continue to implement social distancing measures with limited seating.
