Mesquite, TX – January 29, 2021 – The City of Mesquite’s Parks and Recreation shines a new light on the annual Daddy Daughter Dance and Mother Son Dance with the free virtual “Let’s Glow Crazy” Dance Party on the City’s Facebook page on Saturday, March 6 from 7 - 8 p.m.
The glimmering party will feature a DJ and viewers will have the opportunity to dance from the safety of their homes.
To engage dads and daughters as well as moms with their sons, a limited number of optional “Glowtastic Party Bags” will be available for purchase for $10 per couple. The bags include dance party supplies that make the virtual dance a more interactive experience with the DJ. The optional Party Bags are not required to participate and can be purchased beginning Monday, Feb. 1, from the Parks and Recreation Administration Office, 1515 N. Galloway Avenue or online at www.cityofmesquite.com/danceparty. Supplies are limited and will be available for pick up at the office.
Mesquite’s Director of Parks and Recreation, Elizabeth Harrell, said, “The annual Daddy Daughter Dance and Mother Son Dance are two of the City’s most popular events. In previous years, tickets have sold out very quickly. Like many of our other events, we are adapting to the impacts of the pandemic to offer parents a free and safe opportunity to engage with their children and build lasting memories. The radiance of this Let’s Glow Crazy Dance will ignite a flame of fun for all our families who join us.”
The public may call Mesquite Parks and Recreation at 972-216-6260 for more information on the 2021 Let’s Glow Crazy Virtual Dance Party.
