Mesquite, TX – December 8, 2020 – The City of Mesquite has announced that it will host two online public workshops to gather community input on its solid waste services as part of its effort in developing a 20-year master plan for the solid waste services it provides to residential and commercial customers. The workshops will be Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. Details on accessing the workshops is available at www.cityofmesquite.com/SolidWastePlan.
The website also has an online survey available through Dec. 31 for the public to offer feedback on the City’s solid waste services.
Mark Kerby, the City’s Special Projects Director, said, “We have already received a lot of great comments from the survey. These workshops will provide the community additional ways they can give their input.” Kerby said the results from community feedback efforts of the survey and workshops will help the City draft a proposed plan for review by the City Council.
