Director of Parks and Recreation, Elizabeth Harrell, said, “We want to continue this family-friendly holiday tradition in a safe and smart way that helps protect the public’s health during this pandemic. Vehicles will travel through the park to enjoy an illumination of lights and engaging activity. To add to the holiday spirit, Santa goodie bags with treats and a surprise will be offered to each child in attendance and a special mailbox will be provided for their letters to be sent to the North Pole.”
Attendees can tune into KEOM 88.5 and enjoy Christmas music as they drive through the park. The Mesquite Police Department will also be on site to accept monetary donations for the Santa Cop Toy Program which provides assistance during the Christmas season to disadvantaged children and families in Mesquite
Vehicles can enter the event line at Windbell Circle and Gross Road from 4:30 - 7 p.m. Harrell shared that because of the popularity of the annual event, attendees should plan on extended time to enter the park. She said, “With so many people looking for safe entertainment alternatives out of the house, we are expecting this to be a very popular option for them to consider.”
