Mesquite, TX – October 26, 2020 – The Mesquite Arts Center has developed a variety of free virtual and online programming for November, including new MAC Doodles and Tote-and-Go program workshops.
Mesquite Arts Center Manager Cohn Drennan said, “Like everyone, the arts center has had to adapt to the pandemic and change how we offer programs to the Mesquite community. The new virtual programming has helped a lot of families during this time and it’s been very successful so far. We are glad we can still provide these programs for the community.”
MAC Doodles are virtual doodling workshops on the Mesquite Arts Center YouTube channel for all different skill levels. Below is a list of free virtual workshops Mesquite residents can take part in:
Nov. 4: Thanksgiving Wreath Virtual Workshop (Tote-and-Go pickup on Nov. 2)
Nov. 5: MAC Doodles: Native American Heritage Month
Nov. 18: Thanksgiving Day Cards Virtual Workshop (Tote-and-Go pickup on Nov. 16)
Nov. 19: MAC Doodles: Native American Patterns
The weekly Tote-and-Go program provides free art and craft kits with instructions for families to take home and create together. Residents can pick up the free kits in the Mesquite Arts Center lobby, 1527 N. Galloway Avenue, on the following days at 10 a.m.:
Nov. 2: Wreath Kits (Thanksgiving or Día de los Muertos)
Nov. 9: Plane Kits
Nov. 9: Veterans Wreaths
Nov. 16: Thanksgiving Crafts
Nov. 16: Thanksgiving Card Kits
Nov. 23: Oh, Happy Day! Craft Kits
Nov. 30: Cat Masks
