Mesquite, TX – Aug. 4, 2020 – The City of Mesquite has received a positive West Nile-Virus report from the Texas Department Of State Health Services Lab in Austin. Spraying will start tonight at 10 p.m. in the neighborhood bounded by Cartwright Road, Pioneer Road and Valley Creek Park. Attached is the map of the spray area.
Two sprays of the area should be completed by Wednesday night, weather permitting. Spraying begins after 10 p.m. and ends no later than 5:30 a.m.
Prevention is the best defense against the West Nile virus. Mesquite residents are reminded to enjoy the outdoors, and remember the four D’s:
