The City of Mesquite is seeking the public’s input on the services and programs provided by its Mesquite Animal Services. The public can offer their thoughts through an online survey until June 7. The survey is available at www.cityofmesquite.com/AnimalServices. Assistant City Manager Raymond Rivas said, “We are currently working on a new strategic plan and we are eager to get the public’s participation in that plan. It is helpful to get participation in this effort by engaging our customers and to generate dialogue on ways we can continue to provide quality service.” Mesquite Animal Services continues to see successes with its live outcome rate of pet adoptions and special events like the annual Clear the Shelter activity. However, Rivas explained the data gathered from the survey will help City staff and the City Council adjust services and programs to better serve the community moving forward.
