Mesquite, TX - May 23, 2019 - When severe weather strikes, every second counts. Be prepared for emergencies before they occur and know how to react when severe weather develops. The City of Mesquite Office of Emergency Management encourages citizens to follow the KnoWhat2Do preparedness program – Think. Prepare. Act.
Be weather aware and know the weather hazards in your region. Be prepared by having multiple severe weather warning systems, such as a weather radio or mobile app on your smartphone. Remember, outside warning sirens are meant to warn residents outside only. And act quickly when severe weather threatens. Go indoors immediately, stay away from windows and go to an interior room.
