Mesquite, TX – May 7, 2019 – The Mesquite Summer Sizzle festival will kick off the summer in a big way on Saturday, June 8, from 4 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. at Paschall Park, 1001 New Market Road.
Summer Sizzle is a family-friendly event that features live music, Texas-sized yard games, contests, vendors, a mud volleyball tournament and more. Kids can enjoy a variety of rides, inflatables and free crafts in the Activity Zone. Head over to the food truck yard area for a variety of food and refreshments from BBQ to authentic Cajun cuisine with shaved ice to beat the heat. The evening will end with a spectacular fireworks show set to music starting at 10 p.m.
Event admission and parking is free and some activities will have a small fee. Parking will be available at Travis Williams Softball Complex, 1005 New Market Road. Additional parking will be available at Mesquite Memorial Stadium, 2411 Scyene Road, with free shuttle service.
