Mesquite, TX - January 19, 2019 - The MLK Parade and Celebration scheduled for today will still be held despite the cold weather. The parade honoring the life and Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. will begin at 10 a.m. in downtown Mesquite followed by a community celebration at 2 p.m. at the Mesquite Arts Center Concert Hall, located at 1527 North Galloway Ave. The community celebration will feature remarks by various church pastors and community leaders, dance and musical performances, plus monologues.
