Mesquite, TX – March 26, 2021 – On March 25, Mesquite Police Officer Alan Gafford received a citizen commendation by District 6 resident, Charmayne Hightower, for the respectful way in which he handled a traffic stop with her and her autistic son. She complimented Officer Gafford for listening before taking action and expressed her appreciation for him demonstrating community policing.
