On Dec. 17, the City Council held a special meeting to discuss strategies for addressing crime in Mesquite and gather public input. Following a presentation by Police Chief Charles Cato, attendees were invited to make comments and offer suggestions to the Council about opportunities for residents and businesses to partner with the Mesquite Police Department to make Mesquite a safer community.
