Mesquite, Texas - June 3, 2019 - On May 31, Finance Department employees donated 798 jars of peanut butter and jelly to Spread the Love Campaign. The Spread the Love campaign encourages the donation of peanut butter and jelly as well as financial contributions to help feed children in food insecure families during the summer when free or reduced school lunches are unavailable.
Donations are accepted throughout the spring and summer months at several City facilities and special events. All donations are distributed by the two food pantries in Mesquite, Sharing Life Community Outreach and Mesquite Social Services to families in need.
