Dallas Business Journal – March 22, 2019 – Jeff Casper is the youngest councilmember to ever be elected in his hometown of Mesquite.
Casper first took office in 2015, and works as an educator at West Mesquite High School, after earning a master’s at University of Texas at Arlington.
During his time on the city council, Casper has not only worked to regulate payday lenders in Mesquite, but has worked to move the city’s elections from May to November and to install single-member districts.
Casper, who calls former Texas Governor Ann Richards his dream mentor, lives in Mesquite with his wife, Emily, and their three dogs, Monroe, Jackson and Roosevelt, and cat, Kennedy.
He’s currently earning a second master’s in Political Science.
