City Council

    February 20, 2017, 7:00 PM @ City Hall | Council Chamber

    City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through “Notify Me” on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda has been posted.   2. Microsoft Excel I Computer Class at the North Branch Library

    Excel I class will: • Identify and Navigate the ribbon system • Identify the parts of a spreadsheet i.e. columns, rows and cells • Set Print Area • Enter data in cells • Perform the autofill function • Learn simple formulas • Build a simple budget spreadsheet • Name a spreadsheet • Copy and move a spreadsheet • Create a chart from budget spreadsheet.   3. Preschool Storytime

    This program is recommended for children 3 to 5 years old. There is a mix of songs, rhymes, finger plays, and books. However, there is a greater emphasis on books, on longer stories with more challenging content, and on independent participation by the kids Children will be introduced to group participation, and caregivers will learn some songs and rhymes to share with their children at home. This program is an opportunity for children to mature socially and developmentally in preparation for school. Program length: approx. 30 minutes.

    This class is offered only every other month. Prerequisite: Basic mouse skills and experience using MS Word and the Internet. The class will explore online resources for creating and updating a resume, job searching skills, and submitting applications. Registration is not required.
