City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through “Notify Me” on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda has been posted. The AT5K is all about having a great time and making great memories with friends in the community. There are no winners, no timing, no awards, just a lot of color and fun. Each participant will be a blank canvas at the starting line, and will be transformed into a colorful collage. The race benefits the Mesquite ISD Education Foundation. The Mesquite Charter Review Committee will host a public meeting to gather input on a review of the City Charter. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 7 p.m. at Agnew Middle School, 729 Wilkinson Drive. The public is encouraged to attend. The Mesquite City Council created an advisory committee to review, receive public input and provide a report to the City Council on possible changes to the City of Mesquite Charter. This program is an opportunity for children to mature socially and developmentally in preparation for school. Program length: approx. 30 minutes.
