The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Rehabilitation program is a home improvement program that benefits Mesquite residents. It is grant funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is administered by the City of Mesquite Housing and Community Services Department. For residents that live outside the Mesquite Park area, the City of Mesquite has two repair programs, the Exterior Renewal Program (ERP) and the Limited Repair Program (LRP).
The ERP addresses repair or replacement of items that could include roofing, vinyl siding, windows, doors and other repairs to the exterior of the home up to a maximum grant amount of $20,000.
The LRP addresses repair or replacement of items that could include items such as flooring, painting, cabinetry, countertops, appliances, ADA modifications, and other repairs to the interior of the home up to a maximum grant amount of $5,000.
