City Council meets April 5 Mesquite City Council will meet on April 5 at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Avenue. The Pre-Meeting begins at 6 p.m. in Training Rooms A and B, followed by the Regular Meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Members of the public, applicants and interested parties may attend the meeting in person. The public attending the meeting will have the option of wearing a face covering, but the city will continue to implement social distancing measures with limited seating. Members of the public desiring to comment during Citizens Forum must preregister as follows: Send an email or call the City Secretary on or before 3 p.m. on April 5 at sland@cityofmesquite.com or 972-216-6244. Mesquite introduces Interim Police Chief David Faaborg The City of Mesquite introduced David Faaborg as the Interim Police Chief. He has served as the Assistant Police Chief since 2015 and his career with the Mesquite Police Department has spanned nearly 25 years. Mesquite announces Police Department promotions David Gill has been named the new Assistant Police Chief for the City of Mesquite. Gill has served more than 27 years in the Mesquite Police Department managing various operations and overseeing an array of programs. Learn more.
