Programs & Services
Volunteers are essential to the City's ability to provide quality services to the community by participating in a variety of city programs and activities. The City of Mesquite regularly seeks volunteers to serve at the Animal Shelter, with the Code Ambassadors Program, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Historic Mesquite, Keep Mesquite Beautiful, the Libraries, and Senior Centers. To learn what type of volunteer work is needed, contact the department for details. Visit the Mesquite Arts Center webpage to learn more about opportunities at the Arts Center.
For those opportunities, please complete an application. You will need to provide your social security number, driver's license or state-issued identification.
Teen volunteers (15-17 years old) should complete the Teen Application here.
If you would like to help clear debris or maintain yards for disabled/low income seniors during the summer or after a storm.
For volunteers who have completed the Mesquite Citizen's Police Academy or Citizen's Fire Academy courses, participation in expanded volunteer programming exists. Contact the departments at the links listed above for class start dates.
