City Council to Meet Jan. 20

The Mesquite City Council meets at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave. Members of the public, applicants and interested parties may attend the meeting in person. Members of the public desiring to comment during Citizens Forum must preregister by either sending an email to sland@cityofmesquite.com or calling 972-329-8388 before 3 p.m. on Jan. 20. Provide the City Secretary with your name and address. Comments on agenda items may be made during the meeting or by submission on or before 3 p.m. on Jan. 20 to the City Secretary. Meeting agendas can be viewed online. The City broadcasts meetings via Facebook Live and at www.cityofmesquite.com/WatchCouncilMeetings.

Pothole Blitz and Road Report Update

Construction on South Walker Street began on Jan. 12. Crews will move from north to south, starting near West Davis Street and moving south towards New Market Road. The project is expected to be completed Spring 2026. Also, crews repaired 80 potholes during this month's Pothole Blitz. For more updates on road work in Mesquite, visit the Road Report.

Animal Services Town Hall

Attendees can learn about Animal Services, including responsible pet care, what to do if you find a stray animal, wildlife concerns, and how to keep your pets safe and healthy. Teen Turnout on Jan. 17
