Coming April 6-8,
Solar Rodeo Weekend
As many as 70,000 visitors are expected to come to the Mesquite area to view the total solar eclipse on the afternoon of April 8.
The eclipse will last for four minutes and eight seconds in Mesquite. Because of its prime viewing location for this incredible astronomical event, the City is hosting a weekend full of activities for the whole family called the Solar Rodeo, April 6-8.
The Solar Rodeo weekend includes the annual Rodeo Parade on April 6, the opening of the Downtown Mesquite Farmers Market on April 6, a Tejano music festival at Mesquite Arena on April 7, and multiple eclipse-watching events on April 8.
