The City of Mesquite's Town Hall Tuesday program was initiated in 2016 in an effort to educate and engage citizens. Every Town Hall Tuesday features a new topic and includes activities to interact with City staff. 

All Town Hall Tuesdays, unless specifically stated, are held from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Mesquite City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave.

2026 Town Hall Tuesdays

May 26 - Animal Services 
Attendees can learn about Animal Services, including responsible pet care, what to do if you find a stray animal, wildlife concerns, and how to keep your pets safe and healthy.

March 10, 2026 - Q&A with the City Manager
The City of Mesquite hosted a Q&A with the City Manager. Residents are able to submit questions regarding projects, programs, and other initiatives for the City Manager to answer. 

CANCELED - January 27 - Animal Services 
Attendees can learn about Animal Services, including responsible pet care, what to do if you find a stray animal, wildlife concerns, and how to keep your pets safe and healthy.

2025 Town Hall Tuesdays

September 9 - Q&A with the City Manager
The City of Mesquite is hosting a  Q&A with the City Manager. Residents are able to submit questions regarding projects, programs, and other initiatives for the City Manager to answer. 

July 15 - Budget Process
Attendees will learn about the City's current budget and plans for next year's budget. Presentations will include details on City programs and services, as well as the results of the budget survey that was recently completed by the public.

May 13 - Rental Inspection Program
Attendees will learn about single-family, short-term, and multifamily rentals including rental permits, application processes and inspection requirements. Including regulations and compliance tips for property owners.

March 11 - Emergency Preparedness
Attendees can learn about Emergency Preparedness and how to properly prepare for a natural disaster. Learn how to prepare for an emergency that can protect your life and the lives of those around you.

January 14 - Streets
Attendees will learn about the latest updates on Mesquite's streets. Discover ongoing projects, learn about their progress, updates on Lawson Road and much more.

2024 Town Hall Tuesdays

November 12, 2024 - Bilingüe Q&A
The City of Mesquite hosted a bilingual Q&A with Neighborhood Services, Police and Fire Department. Residents were also able to submit questions.

September 24, 2024 - Property Tax 101
Attendees learned about the property tax system, including understanding how property values are assessed, the steps involved in the appraisal appeal process, and key property tax deadlines. These topics were presented by the Dallas County Tax Office and the Dallas Central Appraisal District.

July 16, 2024 - Budget Process

March 26, 2024 - Q&A with the City Manager
The City of Mesquite hosted a Q&A with the City Manager. This was a hybrid, residents were able to submit questions on social media regarding city services, and events for the City Manager to answer.

January 23, 2024 - City Hall 101
The City of Mesquite hosted a City Hall 101. This Town Hall Tuesday was a hybrid, residents were encouraged to submit questions they want answered for departments presenting: Neighborhood Services, Animal Shelter, Public Works, Solid Waste, and Community Engagement.
