2019 Municipal Election results

City of Mesquite announced the results of its 2019 Municipal Election. The City will host a special meeting to canvass election results and conduct an oath of office ceremony at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave. Following the meeting, there will be a public reception at City Hall. View election results and more information.

Operation Forever Free donates to Mesquite Veterans Memorial

At this week’s Council meeting, Operation Forever Free presented a $15,000 donation to the Mesquite Veterans Memorial. The groundbreaking ceremony for the project takes place during the annual Veterans Day Celebration at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at City Lake Park, 403 S. Mesquite approves development agreement for mixed-use project and industrial park

City Council approved two major developments this week. Spradley Farms, LTD, will develop approximately 652 acres for more than 2,500 single-family homes and commercial components. Council also approved an incentive agreement with Urban Logistics Realty for a new industrial business park, Urban District 30. Read more.

STAR Transit launches new STARNow app

STAR Transit released its new STARNow mobile app this week. Riders can download STARNow on the App Store and on Google Play. The app allows riders to book and pay for same-day trips, working in conjunction with the new Mobility-on-Demand service in designated areas of Mesquite and Terrell. Riders also can book trips by calling 877-631-5278. Learn more about STARNow.
