Spread the Love brings in 2600+ jars

Residents and organizations donated 2,636 jars of nut and seed butters and jelly during the Spread the Love campaign - enough to make 36,904 sandwiches. Since the campaign started in 2016, Spread the Love has brought in thousands of pounds of food for underprivileged youth in the community. Experience fall fun at PumpkinFest

Celebrate the fall season with the City of Mesquite at the 25th annual PumpkinFest. The family-friendly community event offers a full afternoon of fall-themed activities and entertainment, along with a variety of free and paid attractions for attendees to enjoy. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

From Sept. 15-Oct. 15, the City of Mesquite is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a variety of events. The North Branch Library will host a Hispanic Heritage Celebration at 2 p.m. on Oct. 11 featuring crafts, light snacks and activities to celebrate the rich traditions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Dive into local history at Mesquite Meander

Celebrate the extraordinary lives of historical figures in Mesquite at the annual Mesquite Meander, Historic Mesquite Inc.'s annual theatrical living history tour of Mesquite Cemetery. The 15th annual Mesquite Meander is held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 and from 5:30-7 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the Mesquite Cemetery, 400 Holley Park Drive. Click here for tickets and more information.

Road Report update: repairs along Town East Boulevard

Crews are completing localized concrete pavement repairs along Town East Boulevard from Emporium Circle to Belt Line Road. The work is part of ongoing street preservation efforts in the shopping district ahead of the busy holiday season. For more weekly updates on road work in Mesquite, click here.

Upcoming events at the Arts Center

The Mesquite Arts Center is hosting a pair of upcoming productions. The Mesquite Arts Theatre presents Stephen King's "Misery" on weekends Oct. 10-17. Click here for tickets and details.
