City Council to meet April 7

The Mesquite City Council meets at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 7, at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave. Members of the public, applicants and interested parties may attend the meeting in person. Members of the public desiring to comment during Citizens Forum must preregister by either sending an email to sland@cityofmesquite.com or calling 972-329-8388 before 3 p.m. on April 7. Provide the City Secretary with your name and address. Comments on agenda items may be made during the meeting or by submission on or before 3 p.m. on April 7 to the City Secretary. Meeting agendas can be viewed online. The City broadcasts meetings via Facebook Live and at www.cityofmesquite.com/WatchCouncilMeetings.


Rodeo Parade

Rodeo Parade & Farmers Market canceled, Bullriding event still on

The City's annual Rodeo Parade and the opening of the the Downtown Mesquite Farmers Market on April 5 have been canceled due to forecasted severe weather. The World Senior Professional Bullriding Spring Fest is still on from noon to 2 p.m. on April 5 at the Mesquite Arena. The Rodeo Parade will not be rescheduled, but the Farmers Market is open every Saturday (weather permitting) through November.

Youth Council applications due April 7

Mesquite teens in grades 9-12 are invited to apply for the City's new Youth Council. Applications for the Youth Council are due by April 7. Learn more and apply at www.cityofmesquite.com/YouthServices.
