Holiday closures and service impacts

All City offices will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1 in observance of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day. The Airport will remain open. Residential and Commercial Trash will be collected on Dec. 24, but no recycling will be collected. Commercial and Residential trash and recycling will not be collected on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. This holiday season, avoid attracting pests and paying for expensive plumbing repairs by properly disposing of food waste. Remember to put trash out the day of your trash collection instead of letting it sit out. Also, residents may recycle used cooking oil for free at the City of Mesquite Convenience Center, 3550 Lawson Road. Learn more at www.cityofmesquite.com/FOG.
