Town Hall Tuesday to be held on March 28


Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, at Mesquite City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave, for Town Hall Tuesday. Come learn about the City's new initiatives to communicate with the Mesquite community. The Communications Department will discuss their role and services, and share what's coming to help residents get the information they need, when they need it, and in the most engaging way possible.

Learn Small Steps to Sustainability on March 30


Keep Mesquite Beautiful, Inc. will be hosting a free, community education series called Small Steps to Sustainability at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, at The Jazz Patisserie & Baking Company, located at 217 West Main Street. Learn ways to save money and reduce your footprint with tips on preventing food waste, reducing single-use plastics, eliminating household waste and more. Rodeo Parade

Entries sought for Annual Rodeo Parade


The Parks and Recreation Department will present the 65th annual Rodeo Parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1. The parade entry fee is $40, and the registration deadline is Thursday, March 30. For a map of the parade route or online registration, visit www.cityofmesquite.com/RodeoParade.

Mesquite Arts Center presents "Healing Waters" art exhibition


The Mesquite Arts Center, in partnership with the international artist group known as Take Me to the River, will present the exhibition “Healing Waters” from April 3 - June 24. Take Me to the River is an international group of artists creating bridges across borders through art reflecting the diversities and similarities of people around the world. Mesquite Arts Center Manager, Cohn Drennan, was the curator for the project. The event is free. Visit www.mesquiteartscenter.org for more information.

Bunny EGGstravaganza to be held on April 8


Join the Easter Bunny at this year’s EGGstravaganza scheduled for Saturday, April 8, at Evans Recreation Center, 1116 Hillcrest Street. This family-friendly event starts at 9 a.m. and includes face painting, arts and crafts, inflatables, and free pictures with the Easter Bunny. A highlight of the event includes an opportunity for kids ages 9 and under to gather candy-filled eggs in an “egg scramble.” Visit www.cityofmesquite.com/Bunny for more information.

NTMWD to conduct annual maintenance on water system


The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) will conduct its annual system maintenance process March 6 - April 3. This ensures Mesquite's drinking water is safe. The City works closely with NTMWD to maintain positive water flows and reduce impacts during this time. The process may cause slight odor changes.
