Help Us Stay Safe and Flatten the Curve

Mesquite parks with trails and open space are open to the public however please practice social distancing. Here are a few City guidelines to follow at Mesquite parks. Avoid activities that share equipment or involve touching like soccer, basketball and other sports. Avoid groups of 10 or more people. Playgrounds have been closed and park parking lots are closed to discourage large gatherings. Finally, please keep a safe distance from other people using the trails, at least six feet or more. Scammers are taking advantage of people’s fears surrounding the Coronavirus. Some of the top scams include a fake stimulus check, testing scams, charity scams and more. One of the biggest signs of a scam is a sense of urgency. Scammers will apply pressure or use fear to get you to act. Another sign of a scam is scarcity. STAR Transit offers free rides for senior citizens

STAR Transit is offering rides to senior citizens to local stores during COVID-19 for Senior Hour Shopping. To minimize contact between drivers and riders, no fares are being collected and the ride is free. Call STAR Transit at 877-631-5278 to book your trip.

To support social distancing, there is an ongoing list of just the Mesquite restaurants that offer alternate dining options, including curbside pick-up, low contact take out, direct delivery, or delivery through third party organizations like DoorDash, UberEats, GrubHub, Postmates, and more. Reminder do not flush disinfecting wipes and paper towels

The City of Mesquite needs your help to keep drains working during the coronavirus pandemic. Products like toilet paper, wipes and paper towels have flown off store shelves in response to the pandemic. In observance of Easter weekend, STAR Transit’s admin offices will be closed and will not operate transit service on Good Friday, April 10, Saturday, April 11 nor Easter Sunday, April 12.
