Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update


In light of Dallas County’s order that prohibits community gatherings of 500 persons or more and concerns with the coronavirus pandemic, the City of Mesquite is suspending all its special events, selected Mesquite Arts Center programs, all environmental workshops, all library events and programs and all city-run athletic leagues for youth and adults until May 1. City Council meets March 16


Mesquite City Council meets March 16, at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave. The Pre-Meeting begins at 5 p.m. in Training Rooms A and B, followed by a Work Session at 6:30 p.m. and the Regular Meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber. Mesquite PD makes major drug bust


Through tireless efforts of the Mesquite Police Department, an investigation has resulted in the arrest of 14 individuals over the past year along with over 1,300 THC cartridges and 145 pounds of THC edible candies. Many of these products are targeted at youth in our community.  Read more.

Census 2020 is safe and secure


Census 2020 will help determine how much federal funding Mesquite will receive for education, healthcare, housing and more, so it’s important that everybody takes part. In Mesquite, a 1% undercount may result in a loss of more than $3 million in federal funding per year. Annual change in water disinfectant scheduled from March 2 to 30


North Texas Municipal Water District performs its annual system maintenance through March 30. Disinfection is a critical part of the routine water treatment process that keeps drinking water free of harmful microorganisms such as parasites and viruses. The annual, routine change is necessary to maintain the regional system and year-round water quality. Learn more.

Water Billing Office closes early on March 27


The Water Billing Office will close at 1 p.m. on March 27 for a system upgrade. The payment website will also be down for maintenance at that time. The Water Billing Office will reopen on Monday, March 30 at 8 a.m. Learn more.
